Patel Engineering with JV partner gets contract for Dibang Multipurpose Project
Patel Engineering Limited (PEL), along with its joint venture (JV) partner, has secured a letter of award from NHPC Ltd for civil works for Lot-4 of the Dibang multi-purpose project in Arunachal Pradesh. The engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract involves the construction of headrace tunnels including intake, pressure shafts, penstocks, power house and transformer cavern, tailrace tunnels, pothead yard, adits and other related works for the project. The Dibang Multipurpose Project 2880 MW (12 X 240 MW) is valued at Rs 3,637.12 crore. With PEL having 50 percent partnership in the JV, its investment in the project is Rs 1,818.56 crore. The civil construction company is expected to execute the work in 86 months from the commencement date.
