The pipeline will serve as a key supply link for a data centre complex operated by a leading global hyperscaler, connecting the company's pipeline manufacturing business with growing energy infrastructure requirements for artificial intelligence and digital services.
The order is scheduled for execution from Welspun's US manufacturing facility during FY29. The company said the contract takes its global order book to an all-time high of approximately USD 5.25 billion, equivalent to around Rs 50,000 crore.
The project comes amid rising demand for energy infrastructure to support large-scale data centres and AI computing facilities. Natural gas pipelines are an important component of energy supply networks serving industrial and power generation requirements.
The latest contract strengthens Welspun Corp's position in the US line pipe market and adds to its order pipeline across energy transmission infrastructure.
