GR Infra wins ₹3,613-cr ropeway contracts in Uttarakhand

G R Infraprojects, a leading integrated road engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) player, has emerged as the lowest (L-1) bidder for two projects of National Highways Logistics Management. The two projects involve a total investment of ₹3,613 crore and are related to the development, operation and maintenance of Ropeway systems in Uttarakhand on Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM).

The first project involves the development, operation and maintenance of a Ropeway from Gaurikund to Kedarnath in Uttarakhand, with a bid project cost of ₹1,875 crore. The project has a construction period of 1,460 days, followed by an operation period of 15 years.

The second project requires the development, operation and maintenance of a Ropeway from Govind Ghat to Ghangaria and Hemkund Sahib in Uttarakhand, with an investment of ₹1,738 crore. The project has a construction period of 1,460 days, followed by an operation period of 15 years.

With these projects, G R Infraprojects has diversified its portfolio and entered into the Ropeway systems segment, which is expected to provide significant growth opportunities in the future. The company has a proven track record of executing complex infrastructure projects in the road sector and has recently expanded its operations to include projects in the railway sector as well.
