Speaking at a press conference in Dibrugarh on the NDA government’s 11th anniversary, Shri Sonowal said India has moved past policy paralysis and dynastic misrule, and is now driven by welfare-led growth, youth innovation, and major infrastructure development. He highlighted that over 25 crore Indians have risen above poverty in the last decade, calling it a testament to the “Modi guarantee — delivery with speed, scale and honesty.”

Shri Sonowal emphasized India’s rise from 30,000 startups in 2014 to over 1 lakh today, with 1.7 crore youth actively involved. He accused Congress of neglecting farmers, while showcasing government schemes like PM-KISAN, PM Fasal Bima Yojana, and increased MSPs as key reforms. In Assam, paddy MSP has been raised to ₹2,350 per quintal.

Highlighting Northeast’s development, Shri Sonowal said the region has attracted investment commitments of over ₹4.5 lakh crore at the recent ‘Rising Northeast’ summit. New river ports at Jogighopa, Dhubri, Pandu, and Dibrugarh will soon enhance connectivity.

He also cited welfare schemes like PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, PM Awas Yojana, and PM SVANidhi, which have collectively supported millions. Women and youth empowerment through 33% reservation in Parliament, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, Khelo India, and Target Olympic Podium Scheme are reshaping India’s social fabric and sporting future.

Touting India’s scientific and technological progress, Shri Sonowal said initiatives like Chandrayaan, Vande Bharat trains, and green port development under Sagarmala have positioned India as a serious global player. “This is not the India of missed opportunities. This is the India that delivers,” Shri Sonowal said.

“A bold Prime Minister, a committed team, and a billion-strong nation with a common goal, that’s what makes today’s India unstoppable,” Shri Sonowal concluded. “The Modi decade has laid the groundwork. The next decade belongs to a resurgent India, confident, capable, and ready to lead the world.”
