Heavy Rains Damage Ahmedabad Roads; ₹600 Cr Tender Issued for Repairs
Recent heavy downpours over the past three days have severely impacted roads across Ahmedabad, leaving more than 50 roads significantly damaged. Drivers have been struggling to navigate sizable potholes, particularly near the Auda office on Ashram Road and the Navrangpura railway crossing, creating hazardous driving conditions.
In response, the city's road project department has announced a tender worth ₹600 crore to resurface roads wider than 60 feet. The tender will be valid for three years, aiming to restore and improve the damaged infrastructure to ensure safer and smoother travel for residents.
