The property developer, Housing Development and Infrastructure Ltd. (HDIL) has recently launched the first project in Mumbai under its newly formed affordable housing brand Budget Homes wing. The project in question, which has been named as The Nest, is located in Mulund area of the metropolitan city and will house a total of 263 units up for sale in the first phase of the project. The Budget Homes will cater to the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) and the homes under the brand will be within a price bracket of Rs.50 lakh inclusive of stamp duty and registration charges in Mumbai suburbs in the Vasai-Virar region where housing unit will command the price bracket of Rs.20 lakh all inclusive. In a related development, HDIL recently decided to divest its 100% shareholding in its wholly owned subsidiary company Excel Arcade, said an official spokesperson.
