Govt steers clears ₹5,049-cr highway projects

He also laid the foundation stone in Meerut for three projects — the 88-km four-lane Meerut-Budhana-Shamli-UP/Haryana Border (Karnal) section of NH-709A to be built at a cost of ₹708 crore and also the 54-km-long four-lane Meerut-Najeebabad section of NH- 119 worth ₹1,022 crore, and construction of additional facilities on 78-km-long Meerut-Muzaffarnagar section of NH at ₹207 crore. At Baghpat, he launched the construction of 44-km-long two-lane with paved shoulders Meerut-Baghpat-UP/Haryana Border (Sonipat) section of NH- 334B to be constructed at a cost of ₹371 crore. In addition, he also kick started multiple projects under the Namami Gange program including the pollution abatement of Kali river at an investment of ₹1,039.06 crore in Meerut.
