Govt launches ₹9,533-cr road projects in North East
Giving a fillip to the strategically important Arunachal Pradesh, the transport minister has laid the foundation for a 472-km stretch of NH projects worth ₹9,533 crore. The project will include two-laning of a section of NH-229 under the Trans Arunachal Highway project and expansion of three stretches on the NH-313 into two-lane highways. These projects will improve connectivity between Assam and Arunachal, and also between the district headquarters in the state. The developments will improve socio-economic conditions in the area and to ensure quicker completion, the mega project has been divided into small packages.
