Govt approves five towers worth ₹600 cr for Nagpur

The Union transport minister and area MP Nitin Gadkari has cleared ₹600 crore for central business district stretching across 2.51 lakh sq.m at Dhantoli where it will also house five towers of 15 floors each between Panchsheel Square and Munje Square. The mega project will replace the existing Yeshwant Stadium, Patrakar Bhavan, Government Library, bus parking area and will be integrated with Nag riverfront development plan and also MahaMetro‘s 25-storeyed traffic and transport management system (TTMC) planned adjacent to Yeshwant Stadium. The project, which will be executed by MahaMetro in association with Nagpur Municipal Corporation, will have an open and an indoor sports stadium with ground plus two floors commercial tenements, and stage will replace the existing Yeshwant Stadium. The minister also directed MahaMetro to construct four railways over bridges (RoBs), one each at Pachpaoli and Mankapur and two at Kalamna.
