GMR Infra secures Nagpur airport contract

The wholly-owned subsidiary of GMR Infrastructure, GMR Airports Limited (GAL), has bagged a contract to manage the Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport in Nagpur, for which, the Maharashtra Airport Development Company has handed over a formal letter of award. The contract includes construction of the terminal building, upgrading allied infrastructure, operations, management and maintenance of the airport for a period of 30 years. MIHAN - a JV between Maharashtra Airport Development Company and the Airport Authority of India - had started the RFP process to privatize the Nagpur Airport early last year.
