The Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) will reconstruct two major road stretches connecting IFFCO Chowk to Old Railway Road and Old Railway Road to Basai Chowk, improving mobility across densely populated parts of Old Gurugram. The project, costing an estimated Rs 55 crore, is expected to receive approval from the Chief Minister soon.

The first segment—from Basai Chowk to Old Railway Road—will cost Rs 22 crore and includes the construction of a new stormwater drain to resolve chronic flooding affecting nearly 20 residential colonies. The second segment, covering Old Railway Road to IFFCO Chowk, is estimated at Rs 33 crore.

The upgraded corridors are expected to ease traffic flow and strengthen connectivity to the Dwarka Expressway.
