GMDA Plans ₹750 Cr Elevated Road for Signal-Free Delhi–Mumbai Expressway

The Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) has announced plans to construct a six-lane elevated road along the Southern Peripheral Road (SPR) to ensure a signal-free commute between Delhi and the Delhi–Mumbai Expressway. Modeled after the Dwarka Expressway, the proposed corridor will feature multiple entry and exit ramps for seamless traffic flow.

The elevated road will connect NH-8 and Dwarka Expressway via the existing cloverleaf interchange and extend to the Sohna highway (NH-248A) at Vatika Chowk. This will enable uninterrupted travel from Shiv Murti in Delhi to NH-248A and back. GMDA has allocated ₹750 crore for the project, including ₹620 crore for construction and ₹130 crore for land acquisition.
