flyover project
The Government has given administrative sanction to the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) to take up construction of multi-level flyovers or grade separators at Botanical Gardens (Kothaguda) and Kondapur junctions at a cost of Rs.263.09 crore . The flyovers to be taken up under the Strategic Road Development Plan (SRDP) is actually a part of the conflict-free corridor from NFCL Junction to Allwyn Crossroads (Miyapur) for the proposed Kothaguda Junction under phase III with Stup Consultants having already prepared feasibility plans for four alternatives. The approval was given for the flyover which will be two-lane, one way underpass from the Allywn Crossroads towards Gachibowli Junction crossing the Kothaguda Junction. A four-lane one-way flyover from Gachibowli side crossing Botanical Garden Junction at first level beyond which it splits into three-lane flyover towards Hi-Tec City crossing the Kothaguda Junction and three-lane straight flyover crossing Kothaguda and Kondapur junctions, is proposed. A two-lane ramp from Botanical Gardens approach joining with the flyover for Hi-Tec City and Allwyn Crossroads bound traffic U-turn for Gachibowli-bound traffic from Botanical Gardens will be taken up with the GHMC funds, claimed reports.
