GDA launches twin flyovers' projects

In an attempt to ensure smooth flow of vehicular traffic on the Ghaziabad-Meerut Road, which was earlier a part of NH-58, the GDA is all set to start construction work for two flyovers in Ghaziabad. The mega flyover projects are being built at the Raj Nagar Extension Crossing and also at the Vasundhara Traffic Signal on the Vaishali-Mohan Nagar Link Road, GDA sources said, elaborating that the designing of the flyovers, which is being executed by the UP State Bridge Corporation, is nearing completion. In March 2016, the GDA had asked the bridge corporation to submit the detailed reports for the projects. The alignments of both flyovers have been fixed and that the nodal agency has also completed soil testing of areas where the flyovers will be constructed.
