Faridabad-Gurugram gets ₹5,900-cr metro link

The Union government has approved a ₹5,900 crore metro line connecting Faridabad with Gurugram. The project will be commissioned by March 2021, said Union Minister Krishna Pal Gurjar. The 30.3km line will be an elevated stretch for which the DPR is likely to be completed within six months. The metro line will start at Bata Chowk and have seven stations, including Bhadkal Enclave, Pali Crusher Zone, Bhati Mines, Mandi, Sushant Lok Sectors 54 and 45, and will terminate at HUDA City Centre station in Gurugram. He also informed that the bridge connecting Faridabad with Greater Noida at Manjawali would be opened shortly and the metro connectivity between Faridabad and Palwal is being taken up on a priority basis.
