L&T takes up ₹2,084-cr construction contracts

Larsen & Toubro has bagged orders of ₹2,084 crore in the power transmission and distribution segment. The company secured an order for a Rural Electricity Infrastructure Development project under the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gram Jyoti Yojana (DDUGJY) in West Bengal. It has also secured EPC orders to build 235 MW of photovoltaic power projects in Tamil Nadu and Rajasthan. On the international front, the company has won a major order in Saudi Arabia for the construction of 115kV sub-stations with associated transmission lines and cable circuits, and another order for 132kV cable works for a sub-station in Dubai. EHV substation orders have also been received from reputed customers in Oman and Qatar and an order for a 275kV sub-station has been secured in the Sarawak state of Malaysia, said an official spokesperson.
