Liebherr to Showcase MLTB 1025-4.1 Recovery Vehicle at DVD 2026

The MLTB 1025-4.1 is designed for tactical and operational-level recovery missions, providing high mobility for demanding military deployment environments. The vehicle will be presented alongside the LPO 100 mobile energy storage system, highlighting Liebherr's focus on connected and energy-efficient technologies for modern defence operations.
Under the theme “Connected for Combat – Aligning People, Systems and Decisions”, DVD 2026 will bring together defence industry stakeholders, delivery teams and users of land-based military systems.
Recovery when it matters
The MLTB 1025-4.1 combines extended operational reach, high off-road mobility and a robust platform architecture. It supports the recovery, towing and lifting of both wheeled and tracked vehicles in restricted terrain and under tactical constraints. The platform is designed to ensure the highest levels of interoperability within mixed and multinational fleets.A key feature of the MLTB 1025-4.1 is the dual, rear-positioned Rotzler winches, enabling rapid and reliable recovery immediately upon arrival on task. Synchronised remote control of the winch system allows precise and coordinated recovery procedures, supporting the operational requirement to limit time in high-threat environments.
Protection, availability, and through-life support
Optional armoured configurations for the driver’s cab and crane cabin enhance crew safety and enable operation within higher-threat environments. The platform is designed for extreme durability and maintainability in demanding operational conditions. A global service and support network underpins through-life support, ensuring high levels of availability across the system lifecycle. The MLTB contributes directly to mission success by enabling the rapid recovery and return of critical assets to service – both in combat operations and in civil contingency scenarios, including disaster response.A reliable partner for long-term cooperation
With more than 75 years of engineering experience, the Liebherr Group develops robust, efficient and mission-oriented solutions for a wide range of applications. At DVD 2026, the company underlines its role as a reliable long-term partner for defence organisations and operators. “Our systems demonstrate how extensive expertise can be translated into high-performance solutions for complex operational scenarios,” says Simon Lowes, Sales Manager. Whether with the MLTB 1025-4.1 recovery vehicle or the LPO 100, Liebherr supports the growing requirements for availability, efficiency and system integration in modern operational environments.
