Manitou Group has unveiled its new 2026–2030 corporate social responsibility (CSR) roadmap, called CSR Lens, during the fifth edition of its annual broadcast, ‘On the Way Up’. The event also reviewed the company’s performance under its 2021–2025 CSR roadmap, with 87% of the targets achieved.

Broadcast live from the Jules Verne Technological Research Institute (IRT) in Nantes, France, the event was followed by audiences in nearly 40 countries. Manitou Group President and CEO Sylvain Blaise and other senior leaders outlined how sustainability is being integrated into the company’s business strategy and operations.

During the review of the 2021–2025 roadmap, Aude Brézac, Vice President of CSR, highlighted progress in decarbonisation, the circular economy, workplace safety and value chain management. She said the programme had also contributed to a cultural transformation across the Group.

Blaise emphasised the role of CSR in guiding the company through an uncertain business environment. He said responsible operations were closely linked to business performance and that the Group would continue to pursue its commitments with perseverance.

The broadcast also highlighted the role of collaboration and external expertise in addressing sustainability challenges. Neuroscientist Samah Karaki discussed how people respond to uncertainty, encouraging organisations to distinguish between risk and uncertainty, replace prediction with experimentation, and involve employees at all levels in strategic thinking.

A documentary filmed across the Group’s global ecosystem featured contributions from suppliers, manufacturing facilities, dealers and customers. Jean Zanuttini, President and Founder of Neoline, also discussed collaboration in developing lower-carbon maritime transport using sailing cargo ships. The project aims to reduce carbon emissions by 80% as early as 2027.

The programme’s third segment introduced Manitou Group’s 2030 sustainability vision. Brézac and Hervé Rochet, Chief Transformation and Governance Officer, outlined four commitments under the CSR Lens roadmap: resource use and circularity, climate action, human potential, and trust and collaboration.

Brézac said CSR was central to rethinking business practices and operations, adding that integrating sustainability into the company’s strategy would support innovation through concrete, everyday actions.

Blaise concluded by reaffirming that sustainability and corporate responsibility are integral to the Group’s LIFT strategy. He said these commitments would support growth, resilience and long-term performance while strengthening the company’s competitiveness.

The CSR Lens roadmap will guide Manitou Group’s sustainability priorities from 2026 to 2030, building on the progress made under its previous five-year programme.
