DMRC takes over ₹7,000-cr twin metro projects in MP
The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has taken over the reins of Bhopal and Indore Metro rail projects and will oversee the construction of ₹7,000 crore twin projects. Managing Director of DMRC Mangu Singh met CM Kamal Nath and sealed the deal. The corporation has already won laurels for the development of Delhi Metro and has set industry standards for metro development across cities in the country. Madhya Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation limited (MPMRCL) sources said that the meeting with DMRC officials was held to work out the future course of action. DMRC officials reviewed the progress in Bhopal and Indore metro rail projects, besides sharing best practices, organizational set-up, and improving the pace of work in the projects. DMRC will also cooperate in preparing DPR for the next phase of the twin projects.
