The transport ministry has sanctioned ₹665 crore for the construction of a 7-km long flyover at Pardi octroi post on Bhandara road in Nagpur. The ministry said in a statement that in addition to the flyover, two railway over bridges and under bridges will also be constructed near HB Town and Itwari in the adjoining areas. The bridge will also have a five-arm flyover with ramps in the Kalamna APMC market, Old Bhandara road Central Avenue and Inner Ring road. The double-decker will have a flyover below and metro rail corridor above from Nag river to Vaishno Devi square. The roads below the flyover will be concretized and state-of-the-art ground plus 4 floors market building with 400 shops will also be constructed adjacent to the Nag river at Pardi and the existing market on the national highway will be shifted to the new venue.
