DMRC Achieves First Twin Tunnel Breakthrough in Phase-IV Construction
The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has successfully completed its first twin tunnel breakthrough under Phase-IV construction, marking a major milestone. The twin tunnels, stretching approximately 3 kilometers, are the longest tunnels constructed in this phase. Two tunnel boring machines (TBMs), Bhoomi and Srishti, emerged simultaneously at Pulbangash Metro Station on Wednesday. These tunnels connect Derawal Nagar to Pulbangash as part of the Janakpuri West-R K Ashram corridor, an extension of the Magenta line.
