Delhi's IGI Airport to Introduce India's First Air Train by 2027

Delhi International Airport Limited

Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) has initiated a project to build India's first air train, or Automated People Mover (APM), to connect Terminal 2 and 3 with Terminal 1 at Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi. Scheduled for completion by 2027, the air train will cover a 7.7 km route with four stops, including T2/3, T1, Aerocity, and Cargo City.

This initiative, led by GMR-backed DIAL, will eliminate the need for DTC buses to shuttle passengers between terminals, enhancing airport connectivity and passenger convenience.
