Delhi Govt Allocates ₹10 Cr for E-Waste Eco Park in Narela

The Delhi government’s Environment Department has released ₹10 crore to the Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (DSIIDC) for the development of an e-waste eco park at Holambi Kalan village in Narela. A tender will soon be issued to appoint an agency for the construction of the facility.
Delhi ranks as the fifth-largest generator of e-waste in India, contributing approximately 2.3 lakh tonnes annually—around 9.5% of the country’s total. Notably, nearly 95% of this waste is processed by the informal sector. The upcoming eco park aims to streamline e-waste recycling and management in an environmentally sound and formalized manner.
