Decks cleared for Nasik metro project in Maharashtra
Decks have been cleared for the Nasik metro project with the City and Industrial Development Corporation of Maharashtra Limited (Cidco), has given its approval to Maha Metro to prepare the DPR. Cidco will bear the entire cost that Maha Metro would need to prepare the DPR, said managing director of Maha Metro Brijesh Dixit. Currently, Maha Metro—a joint venture between the Union and state governments— is implementing metro projects in Pune and Nagpur. Maha Metro has formed a special team to oversee the task of preparing the DPR, which would be submitted in two months, and would entail preparing cost of the project and possible metro corridors, with the help from Nashik Municipal Corporation.
