Central Govt Allocates ₹343.7 Cr to Upgrade Charmadi Ghat Highway

The central government has sanctioned ₹343.7 crore to expand the Charmadi Ghat highway in Mangaluru, transforming it into a two-lane road to ease travel for those in the coastal region. Work on the project will begin shortly. The upgrade will enhance National Highway-73, which links Mangaluru to Tumakuru via Mudigere, particularly widening the stretch through Charmadi Ghat. The tendering process for the project has already been completed, paving the way for construction to commence.
