Delhi RTR Flyover Closed for Repairs After Cracks Appear, Traffic Diversions Until October 27

RTR Flyover
The old Rao Tula Ram (RTR) flyover on Delhi’s Outer Ring Road has been closed to traffic after cracks were detected at two locations, disrupting traffic movement towards Vasant Vihar from the airport. The Public Works Department (PWD) began repair work on Wednesday, October 21, with vehicular movement expected to resume by October 27.

The repairs are scheduled to be completed by October 26. Until then, traffic from Delhi airport, Gurugram and Dwarka heading towards Vasant Vihar and Chirag Delhi is being diverted to the service road adjoining the flyover and other alternate routes.

The Delhi Traffic Police has issued an advisory warning of heavy congestion, particularly during peak hours. The closure has resulted in long queues extending behind the flyover as vehicles use the adjoining service road.
