BMC clears Rs. 1,100-cr for infra upgrade

The standing committee of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) in a recent move has cleared a whopping 91 proposals involving investment of Rs. 1,100-cr for the construction of multiple infra projects. The civic body's administrative wing had initially put forth 63 proposals before the standing committee for approval but 28 more proposals were also included at the end of the proceedings. Apart from this, recently, the standing committee members had within 46 minutes approved 71 proposals out of 74 proposals of Rs.1,000-cr put forth before the standing committee. These apart, there were also a few proposals of Rs. 100-cr cleared during the meeting and score of other big ticket projects were also get cleared in the past fortnight.
