Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Ltd (RINL) subsidiary BISRA Stone Lime Company (BSLC), is set to resume mining operations after a brief hiatus, said a statement from the Ministry of Steel. BSLC had to cease operations from July 2019 due to a cash crunch. But now the Steel Authority of India Limited and RINL have agreed to provide trade advances to BSLC for immediate resumption of mining activities at the Sundergarh district of Odisha shortly after a decision taken in a recent meeting spearheaded by Steel Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. It is worth mentioning here that BSLC has been mining and marketing limestone in Sundargarh since 1910.
