Bihar Set for Transport Boost with 9 New Ganga Bridges

Bihar is witnessing a major infrastructure upgrade with the construction of nine new mega bridges across the Ganga River, raising the total number of bridges over the river to 19.

Patna district is central to this transformation, with six of the new bridges located in the region. Among the most significant is the newly completed six-lane bridge between Aunta and Simaria in Mokama, parallel to the existing Rajendra Setu. The bridge is now ready for operation and will ease traffic on existing routes.

Another major project is the six-lane bridge under construction between Dighwara in Saran and Sherpur in Patna. This bridge will connect to the upcoming Patna Ring Road, enhancing regional connectivity and reducing travel time.
