Bihar fast tracks ₹2,000-cr road and highway project
Bihar government has approved alignment of the Danapur-Shivala-Bihta elevated 20-km long four-lane elevated road entailing an investment of ₹2,000 crore,said road construction department principal secretary Amrit Lal Meena. The DPR has been finalized by the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) and land acquisition procedure has been accelerated. The state will now acquire the remaining 45 hectares of land at different locations for construction of the mega road project, which would connect Patna to the upcoming civil airport at Bihta via Danapur junction and also Shivala Chowk. The elevated road would originate from Khagaul road over-bridge (RoB) and end after Bihta chowk. Of the total 20 km, 17 km would be elevated and would terminate at the junction of the Bihta-Sarmera Road near Kanhauli village.
