GNA clears ₹2,000-cr direct Blue Line link to Delhi

Greater Noida Authority (GNA)
The Greater Noida Authority (GNA) has approved a 14-km Metro link, which will directly connect Delhi with Greater Noida through the Blue Line at an investment of ₹2,000 crore, chairman of GNA Anup Chandra Pandey was quoted as saying in a media statement. The link will start from Botanical Garden Metro station and culminate at Noida's Sector 142 Metro station, which is on Aqua Line. The metro link will run parallel to the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway, while the Botanical Garden station will serve as an interchange station for commuters who would like to use the Blue Line and Janakpuri West-Botanical Garden route. Though the link connecting Delhi with Greater Noida will be part of Delhi Metro, it will be developed by Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) and funded by the Noida Authority. The GNA board has given the green signal to the NMRC to prepare a DPR.
