Bhopal Metro Set for July 2025 Launch

The Madhya Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MPMRCL) is confident that the Bhopal Metro will be operational by mid-2025. Trial runs between the depot and AIIMS Bhopal are expected soon, with commercial operations on the 7 km Subhash Nagar to AIIMS stretch planned for July 2025.

"We aim to operationalize eight stations, covering around 7 km, by July 2025. Civil and systems integration work is on track," said MPMRCL Managing Director S Krishna Chaitanya.

The first phase of the metro project spans 31 km, with the 7 km stretch nearing completion. The recently finished Habibganj rail overbridge, connecting the metro to AIIMS Bhopal, has further boosted progress.
