Bengaluru Tunnel Road Project to Ease Traffic Congestion with Underground Corridor Through City Centre

Tunnel Road Project
Bengaluru’s long-awaited tunnel road project is moving forward with plans to create an underground corridor connecting key parts of the city, aimed at reducing travel time and easing chronic traffic congestion.

The proposed tunnel will pass beneath central Bengaluru, providing a faster and more seamless route for daily commuters while ensuring minimal disruption at the surface level. The project is expected to significantly decongest major roads and improve connectivity across the city’s busiest traffic zones.

Engineers are currently conducting geological and soil assessments to determine the safest and most efficient alignment for the tunnel. The design prioritises structural stability, safety of nearby buildings, and environmental protection, while ensuring that Bengaluru’s heritage and ecological balance are preserved.

Once completed, the tunnel road is expected to transform urban mobility, offering a sustainable and modern infrastructure solution to one of India’s most congested metropolitan cities.
