Bengaluru to Get Rs 1.2 Lakh Cr Infra Development Boost

The Chief Minister said the white-topping initiative aims to permanently resolve Bengaluru’s pothole problem, ensuring roads last at least 30 years. A Detailed Project Report (DPR) is being prepared for 500 km of white-topping at an estimated Rs 4,000 crore, while 148 km of roads are already under development. Additionally, Rs 1,800 crore is being spent on 83 major roads, and black-topping of 182 roads (350 km) worth Rs 695 crore is underway
He also announced a new grant of Rs 1,100 crore for road works and the construction of 113 km of elevated corridors across the city. Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar added that over 10,000 potholes have been filled, urging citizens to report any remaining issues for immediate repair.
The projects are expected to transform Bengaluru’s road and transport infrastructure, improving mobility, durability, and urban livability.
