In order to ensuring smooth flow of vehicular traffic in the area, PWD in Guwahati is all set to start the construction work on the much-awaited Guwahati-North Guwahati bridge at an investment of ₹1,980 crore, the concerned minister in the state government, Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma said. She further said adding that the bridge connecting Guwahati to North Guwahati will have a six-lane road and will come as a relief to people living on both sides of the river and the project is being financed by the BRICS New Development Bank and is expected to be executed on fast tracked basis, the minister added.
