Assam clears Rs. 18,000-cr metro project

The state cabinet in Assam has recently cleared the construction of metro rail project to be built in four phases thereby providing hassle free transport facilities to the masses of the state capital and also to those residing in its suburban areas. The mega project, which entailed a staggering investment worth Rs. 18000cr, has already been cleared by the central government. transport minister Chandramohan Patowary, said, elaborating that to further adding to the momentum, the state cabinet also gave its go ahead signal to host Himalayan Games in the state from April 5 to April 10 this year and creating the necessary infrastructure for the smooth conduct of the mega game event.
