Anand Station to Be Developed as Multi-Modal Transport Hub on Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train Corridor

Located in Anand, popularly known as the “Milk City of India,” the station’s architectural design draws inspiration from the fluid form and colour of milk droplets, reflecting the city’s identity as a major dairy hub. Both the façade and interiors are being conceptualised around this theme, giving the station a distinctive visual character.
The station will rise to a height of 25.6 metres and have a total built-up area of 44,073 sqm. It will feature three floors, with two side platforms and four tracks in between. Designed with modern passenger needs in mind, the station will include ticketing and waiting areas, restrooms, a nursery, information booths, and retail spaces. Skylight provisions on the roof and exterior will allow for ample natural lighting within the station.
To ensure smooth passenger movement, dedicated pick-up and drop-off zones and parking facilities are being planned for cars, two-wheelers, autos, and buses, along with a pedestrian plaza. The station will also benefit from its proximity to key transport nodes, with Uttarsanda railway station located around 600 metres away, Nadiad Junction about 10 km away, Vadodara Airport at a distance of 54 km, and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport approximately 70 km away.
In terms of construction progress, NHSRCL has completed slab casting across all three levels of the station. Structural steel work for the roof and façade, along with roof sheeting, has also been completed. Lifts and escalators have been installed, while cladding and staircase finishing works are currently underway.
Once completed, the Anand bullet train station is expected to serve as a key transport hub in Gujarat, significantly improving regional connectivity and offering a modern, efficient travel experience for passengers on the high-speed rail corridor.
