Highway-road
The four-laning of a 22.1 km stretch of NH-66 in Goa is being undertaken at a cost of Rs 1,376 crore to improve connectivity between Margao and Canacona.

The project covers the stretch from Bendordem to the Canacona bypass and further to the Karnataka border at Polem, aimed at strengthening regional highway infrastructure.

Once completed, the upgraded four-lane highway is expected to reduce travel time between Margao and Canacona by 20–30 minutes, while improving traffic flow and connectivity in the southern part of the state. The project is anticipated to support regional development by enhancing accessibility and facilitating smoother movement of people and goods along the corridor.
