The emphasis by Central and state governments on development of infrastructure as well as upgradation of existing infrastructure, bodes well for the Earthmoving and CE industry.
According to industry reports, the CE industry witnessed a y-o-y growth of around 33-35% in H1 2018 over the corresponding period in 2017. The numbers in H2 have been encouraging and this points to a good growth trajectory for the industry.
There might be a slowdown in demand owing to the general elections early next year and state elections in some parts of the country. But this would be a temporary scenario and the growth rate is expected to be back on track post that.
SANY has continued to grow in this year more than the industry growth rate in each segment. We have seen good demand in the excavator, concrete, road equipment, crane and mining segments.
We have launched localised truck cranes in 45 and 80-ton categories and introduced 37-m Truck Mounted Concrete Boom Pump this year. We have achieved leadership position in many segments such as piling rigs, truck cranes, all-terrain cranes and long reach excavators, and 5th position in the excavator industry by sales volume.
We have been upgrading and expanding our manufacturing capacity, have augmented our fabrication workshop, and added another production line for truck cranes. To ensure timely and reliable availability of spare parts, we have expanded our trading warehouse, and policies have been implemented to ensure faster delivery and availability of critical spare parts. We have 29 dealers in South Asia with more than 120 offices, 400 service engineers, 200 sales engineers and spare parts depots.
We carry out a full analysis of machine and its application, population, working performance for spare parts supply, based on which, we undertake stocking at the central stocking hub. We have multiple logistics modes to have a better response to customers.
SANY machines are using IoT to access real-time data, which is shared with customers to derive the best efficiencies and reduce downtime drastically.
While there may be a perception that the European and Japanese companies may be faster adopters of technology, SANY has been in front of the curve in adopting new technologies in all its equipment. We continuously monitor the requirement of our customers and operators to include the technologies that may help in increasing their productivity, safety, and profitability.

Currently, SANY India exports to all the South Asian countries and a few countries in Africa and Middle East. We would be looking towards expanding our footprint in more countries and SANY India will become a major export hub for the group.
