100 years of driving energy efficient and innovative solutions
For over 100 years, Baudouin has been designing the highest quality diesel and gas engines for marine and power generation applications from 18 kVA to 4000 kVA. The India operation based out of Pune Maharashtra is supporting India market for 250 to 4000 kVA range.

The new norms set by the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) will be effective from 1st July 2023 mandates drastic reduction in pollutants (NOx +PM) compared to CPCB II norms. Being one of the technology leader focused on driving energy efficient and innovative solutions Baudouin India operations is at advance stage of product development to meet the timeline.

Addressing environmental challenges
Building a sustainable future by addressing environmental challenges is one of the key drivers for our R&D teams spread across 10 locations (Europe, US, China, SE Asia). The group has invested significantly in hybrid technology, hydrogen as fuel, fuel cells and renewable energy space to ensure cleaner, greener technology leading to carbon footprint reduction. As the technology adoption takes shape we will be bringing the products at the appropriate time.

Competitive edge
Most of the product platforms < 910 kVA are already on electronic platform with HPCRS technology and migration to CPCB IV+ will be far easier at much lower cost delta. We believe this would give us edge over competition in CPCB IV+ era. We are on track to launch our new product platforms from 250~910 kVA compliant to the new emission norms and will be introducing the same in India by Q2 2023.

Currently we are focusing on Medium and High Horse Power PG market with our durable, robust and efficient product platforms. In today’s competitive era customers need high end technology at affordable price with robust after sales support. We have partnered with key OEAs in India and are confident to become a significant player in the next 2-3 years giving customers more flexibility and options.

India plans
Our next generation product platforms < 250 kVA compliant to CPCB IV+ are in the advanced stage of development and will be available for India market in 2023. This will be unique advantage for us as we will be the first player in the India market to have the complete product portfolio in PG market as engine manufacturer.

Our focus for next two years will be on localization of key components, building a new state of the art manufacturing facility which will cater the complete range and continue to support the growth journey of India with “Made in India” “Made for India” products and solutions.
