The Layher Group produces high-quality scaffolding systems in Germany, and has a worldwide presence with over 30 sales subsidiaries. Its products are being used in industries such as construction, chemical plants, power plants, airports, event sectors, shipyards, refineries and offshore projects. With its innovativeness, superior technical solutions, and customer-orientated service packages, Layher has set benchmarks for quality and reliability in scaffolding systems, globally.

Layher’s Allround Scaffolding reduces assembly time, labour cost, and increases safety when erecting scaffolds around church steeples, monuments and restaurants in high places, in boiler plants, tanks and pipelines, supply lines, at or under bridges, at construction sites or mobile scaffolds in tunnels.

The construction industry is seeing increased demands for load-bearing capacity and assembly variability in scaffolding. This is where Allround Scaffolding is now setting new standards as a single system for bricklayer scaffolding, work scaffolding, safety scaffolding or falsework. With 73 cm, 109 cm or 140 cm bay width, selectable storey heights and live loads of up to 6 kN/m2 depending on the bay width, or assembled as scaffolding for formwork or support, the Allround Scaffolding offers numerous solutions.

More Possibilities with Layher Products and Services

Layher Scaffolding has been established as a synonym for modular scaffolds in the market. Layher’s product characteristics and services help customers achieve long-term success and increase profitability. The Allround and SpeedyScaf Scaffolding offers unsurpassed versatility. It uses a simple and unique bolt-free connection technology: sliding the wedge head over the rosette and inserting the wedge into the opening immediately secures the component. There is still sufficient play to secure the other end of the ledger. A hammer blow to the wedge transforms the loose connection into a superbly strong and structurally rigid one. The face of the wedge head is now precisely positioned against the standard.

To transfer pulling force, every frame is secured by locking pins or bolts to each other. In this way, the tower can be assembled on the ground and placed by crane.

The Allround connector is the central element in the Allround modular system and the basis for the economic efficiency, high stress capability and safety of the entire system. This positive and force transmitting connection method is suitable for both steel and aluminium scaffolding structures.

Layher Scaffolding

Application of Layher Scaffold for High-Rise Building

Construction of a Façade Scaffold of about 90 m high posed a big challenge in the construction of a residential building with its corner and projected balconies. By bracing the work scaffolding vertically with Layer’s SpeedyScaf lattice beams, the increased wind loads could also be transferred without putting unnecessary strain on the structure.

Layher scaffolding enabled economical provision of scaffolding around the 95 m façade. Easy and fast assembly and use of a hoist, took just five weeks for assembling the system. The outstanding quality of Layer’s products ensured that the lower assembly frames and the spindles could withstand enormous loads as the load bearing capacity of individual spindles (baseplate) were subjected to a weight of up to 5 tons.

During construction, the biggest challenge was posed by the recessed balconies on every second side of the building. Providing scaffolding around these drew on all the experience of the scaffolding erectors and flexibility of the systems. The problem, too, was quickly overcome with special structures.

Especially on irregular designs due to different sizes of corner, the Allround Scaffolding impresses with its flexibility and safe and easy handling. Its advantages like screw-less. quick and self-explanatory assembly, form-fitting and solid connection, dimensional stability and rigidity, scaffolders can quickly create safe workspaces for all the following assembly sections - even in the highest altitudes, and under high loads. After all, heavy stones have to be stored temporarily on the scaffold during renovation.

Layher Allround has a suitable solution for all access requirements on construction sites. Access stairway towers for a broad spectrum of applications and requirements are created at the site for hoisting of concrete buckets, including passenger hoists, and to accommodate modular stairways/accesses that always fit and match the system. These can be constructed (replacing huge quantities of scaffolding pipes and clamps) by using Allround Scaffold Systems.

Advantage of Layher Allround Scaffold

More speed due to light weight, more safety: due to quality and technologies, inspections and approvals, More Proximity due to global presence, More Simplicity due to economical and proven scaffolding systems and versatile usage, and More Future due to regular product innovations and improvement and wide product range.
