Tyresoles leader in tire retreading market in India with 60 years experience
Tyresoles Strengthening Grip Over Retreading Market
Mr. Karun Sanghi M.D – Tyresoles, is of the view that people should change their perception about retreaded tires. "When you consider retreading go and see the plant yourself first. Only then will you get a fair idea of what you are getting." Notably, Tyresoles is the leading tire retreading company in India and has more than 6 decades of experience in this field. The company started as a unit of Anglo-Thai Corporation and was acquired by the Sah & Sanghi Group in 1973. The Belgaum factory was established in 1984. The company has seen year-on-year sales growth of 30% for the last two years and is projecting sales growth of 50% for the next year. Tyresoles works closely with its customers to develop new products to meet changing requirements. It has also developed specialised rubber compounds to match vehicle operating conditions in India. It has also established an ERP system in 1999 which allows it to track tires online and give customers accurate information.
Mr. Sanghi informed, "We are expanding our presence in the country. We are now there in Jabalpur, and Hyderabad, and will be in Gujarat in the next 3-4 months. Moreover, we have also entered into a tread JV in Mangalore, and also expect that as the radial market increases, our share will increase simultaneously."
He added, "Retreading does well in recession, so our business has actually moved up during the slowdown. In these times, even regular customers opt for retreading as it provides a good cost saving proposition."
