Kobelco, with its long history of over 90 years in the construction equipment industry, has been a leading force given its continuous adoption of innovative technologies over the years for providing long-lasting, effective solutions to its customers.
Commented Koji Nakagawa, Managing Director & CEO, KCEI, at the launch, “The new machines are yet another example of our meeting customer expectations and preferences. In the new Generation-10 14T excavators, we have taken every care to understand the needs of customers as well as their expectations from a fuel-efficient, high-quality, highly productive and reliable equipment, and give them a choice to meet their specific requirements.”
The global launch of the Generation-10 series a few years ago set new benchmarks for the industry in terms of productivity and durability. KCEI had progressively introduced the Generation 10 series in its models in the 20-24T, 35-38T and 50-52T segments in the recent past. The series has brought tremendous value to customers in terms of improved productivity and profitability.
KCEI has a strong presence across India and in neighboring countries like Nepal, Bangladesh, and Bhutan. It has been offering machines compliant with international regulations on emission and safety, even when most players continued to offer machines based on older technologies, possibly to cash in on the cost advantage.
E. Moses, Vice President – Division and National Head, KCEI, stated, “These Next-Gen machines are equipped with many new additional features to perform even better in challenging jobs. These machines will set new benchmarks in the segment and will cater to the demands of our existing customers as well as customers who would like to upgrade to a more fuel-efficient technology.”
The company has now launched two variants of the 14T excavator – the SK140-10 and the SK145XDLC-10, with many common features and benefits like a XD boom/arm, a fuel-efficient ECO-mode of engine operation, international quality cab with high pressure and sound suppression for greater comfort, lighter hydraulic controls suitable for long hours of operation with minimum fatigue, improved hydraulic filters, etc.
The SK140-10 has all the basic features of Generation 10 fitted with a bucket of 0.6 cum capacity, while the SK145XDLC-10 is the higher-end variant with additional standard features like a larger 0.7 cum bucket, a longer track chain, an automatic air conditioner, a pre-cleaner for the air-intake system, a reinforced guide frame, a lower frame underside cover, etc. Some of these features are also offered as optional in the SK140-10.
To top it all, Kobelco’s exceptional services and support to the machines, wherever they are operating, is the ‘silver lining’ for owners, so that they can get the best from their excavators in terms of uptime, productivity, and reliability.
