Volvo India's New Excavators, Pavers & Asphalt Compactors
Volvo CE launched its new D-series, EC 210D and EC 250D excavators, P 5320B ABG paver, and the new DD 90B, 9 tons asphalt compactor
Strengthening its presence in the 21 tons + category, Volvo CE launched its new D-series, EC 210D and EC 250D excavators. The EC210D is being manufactured at its Peenya facility near Bengaluru. Mentioning about the products, Mr. Dimitrov Krishnan, Vice President & Head Volvo CE India says, "The new range of excavators with upto 10% fuel efficiency, targeted for the fast-growing quarry segment, have been launched following rigorous tests, where the equipment were subjected to high amount of external forces. The products, providing high value for money, delivers total cost of operation making its highly suitable for quarry owners."
Mr. Dimitrov informs, "We will keep producing our B-Prime series excavators as we need time to ramp up production of the new D series excavators." Fitted with tier 3 115kw, Volvo Engines, EC 210 D comes with 0.52-1.22 cum buckets. The excavator comes with 9.93 meters of maximum digging reach and 6.73 meters maximum digging depth. For faster cycle times and improved fuel efficiency, EC 210 D is quipped with intelligent work modes, including the new G4 mode. Operators can choose a mode that best suits the task at hand, selecting from Idle, Fine, General, Heavy and Power max mode ensuring flexibility and higher productivity. The excavator which can be fitted with selection of buckets and breakers come with an improved cabin, featuring new I-ECU monitor for displaying range of information.
The new EC250D also comes with G4 mode. Equipped with Volvo, D7, six-cylinder diesel engine rated at 138kw (188hp) and I-ECU monitor for information on fuel consumption and levels of upcoming maintenance tasks. Heavy duty under carriage, made of thick gauge and high strength tensile steel and sprocket and top rollers made from forged steel and deep hardened for long-term durability are the advanced features of the new excavator according to the company. EC 250 D comes with 1.21 and 1.45 cum buckets. Maximum digging reach is 10.26 meters and maximum digging depth is 6.98 meters.
In road equipment, Volvo CE launched its new P 5320B ABG paver. According to Volvo CE, the paver is designed to achieve optimal efficiency and quality in medium and large scale projects where paving widths range from 2.5 m to 7 m. The best in class power of 118 hp, Deutz D5 engines is capable of pushing 25 tons trucks and pulls the Volvo screed with ease, even at maximum paving width.
The new SD 110Ba, single drum compactor was also displayed at the event. The company said that the new compactor provides equal measures of efficiency, versatility and stability to ensure superior compaction. Delivering an efficient powerful performance, the 11 tons class compactor combines dynamic drum forces and heavy drum weight to produce energy necessary to achieve material target density in fewer passes. The new DD 90B, 9 tons asphalt compactor, exhibited at the event, according to the company combines high centrifugal force, heavy drum weight and variable amplitude to produce energy necessary for excellent compaction.
