BULL SMART–A New Star on the Horizon
BULL Machines Pvt. Ltd is part of the 50-year old Sandfits Engineering Group which has a turnover of more than Rs 400 crore. Established in 1998, BULL Machines is a Coimbatore-based group. The place is better known as an engineering hub of south India.
BULL holds the credit of being Asia’s No.1 tractor attachment manufacturer and leader in business with 9,000 + machines sold in the country. They are also the pioneers in converting tractors into earthmoving machinery.
As with many reputed tractor companies, BULL also has a tie-up with John Deere, New Holland, M&M, Escorts and Sonalika etc. Its in-house R&D unit was also recognised by the Ministry of Science and Technology in 2005.
BULL started to roll out in-house manufactured backhoe loader called ‘BULLSMART’ in September 2011 from its greenfield state-of-the-art facility at Sulur in Coimbatore. It has a capacity to produce 5,000 backhoe loaders per annum which is the second largest in the country.

BULL SMART is a result of three years of painstaking R&D and continuous testing. This machine is developed keeping just two things in mind i.e. Indian working conditions and Indian customers.
The result is BULL SMART, which is neither a big machine nor a small one. It is a smart machine, with 28 per cent lesser initial capital investment and 31 per cent lower running cost vis-à-vis popular backhoe loader brand. Due to its faster cycle time and shorter hydraulic circuit, it is capable of similar output with lesser cost resulting in better economics and higher return on investment.
Key technical specifications of BULL SMART Backhoe Loader: Backhoe Bucket – 0.23 cubic metres; Loader Bucket – 0.90 cubic metres with payload capacity of 1,300 kg; Engine – Kirloskar 4R810, 60 HP turbocharged; 4 cylinder, BSIII emission compliant; and transmission – Carraro.
