Snowman Delivers Seamless Logistics from Source to Last Mile Across Key Industries

Multimodal Infrastructure for Enhanced Connectivity, Efficiency, and Cost-Effectiveness
Snowman Logistics has rapidly built a vast and strategically placed network of temperature-controlled warehouses across India, operating 43 facilities in 20 cities with a combined capacity of over 150,000 pallets as of mid-2025. The company has aggressively added new facilities in Lucknow, Guwahati, Krishnapatnam, Kundli, and Siliguri. These five growth hubs extend their network across key consumption and export corridors, strengthening service speed, capacity, and reliability nationwide, including their footprint in the northern part of India. Recent additions in Kolkata and Krishnapatnam have expanded its reach in eastern and southern India, while earlier facilities in Siliguri, Guwahati, and Coimbatore strengthened coverage in the northeast and southwest. The company also inaugurated its first dry warehouse in Hosur in February 2023, a 50,000 sq ft facility with 5,500 pallet positions located along NH-44 and the Golden Quadrilateral, ensuring strong connectivity to Tamil Nadu and beyond. This strategic placement near industrial hubs not only enhances access to suppliers and customers but also lays the foundation for future multimodal collaborations.Snowman’s distribution centers near key port terminals integrate sea transport with its cold chain network, supporting export–import operations with storage and value-added handling. Its infrastructure includes multi-temperature zones (–25 °C to +25 °C), G+4 and G+5 racking with palletized storage, quarantine chambers, mechanized handling systems, blast freezing technology down to –40 °C, and a 24-hour command centre with real-time monitoring and full power backup to ensure uninterrupted service. This level of precision is vital for perishable segments such as seafood, pharma, and dairy, where maintaining product integrity directly impacts customer trust.
Complementing its warehousing strength is a technologically equipped fleet of nearly 300 owned and over 325 leased refrigerated vehicles, spanning 2.5 to 20 tonnes and serving diverse needs from full truckload (SnowLine) and part cargo to last-mile deliveries (SnowReach). GPS-enabled tracking, real-time data logging, and plug-in support enhance transparency and responsiveness, while services such as milk-run routes, door-to-door delivery, and part-cargo consolidation maximize utilization. The proprietary SnowLink platform further optimizes routing, load planning, and cost efficiency, especially for e-commerce fulfilment in dense consumption hubs like Mumbai and Pune.

Seamless Integration of Cold Chain and E-Commerce Fulfilment

By integrating warehousing, fleet mobility, and tech-driven control systems with strategically located facilities, Snowman has created a seamless logistics spine from sourcing to the last mile for industries such as pharma, seafood, dairy, FMCG, and e-commerce. Value-added services including consignment agency, reverse logistics, kitting, container stuffing and de-stuffing, grading, and bulk-breaking further enhance efficiency, while the network’s multimodal design provides resilience, flexibility, and scalability without significant cost escalation. Together, these capabilities strengthen Snowman’s 5PL model, enabling end-to-end supply chain solutions that span procurement, storage, distribution, and supplier management.
This multimodal infrastructure delivers three clear outcomes: connectivity through a widespread network of cold, dry, and e-commerce warehouses and port-adjacent facilities with potential rail integration; operational efficiency through mechanized storage, advanced fleet systems, temperature fidelity, tech platforms like SnowLink, and rigorous controls; and cost-effectiveness through economies of scale, load consolidation, strategic placement, spoilage prevention, and automation. Collectively, these strengths reinforce Snowman’s position as a leader in India’s cold chain logistics, offering not just 3PL services but fully integrated, future-ready supply chain solutions tailored to modern business demands.
