IntrCity SmartBus Enhances Passenger Experience with ‘Smart Switch’ and Pickup Guidance Videos

IntrCity SmartBus, India’s leading tech-enabled intercity bus service, has announced two new initiatives aimed at making long-distance travel more seamless, flexible, and stress-free. The company has introduced ‘Smart Switch’, a feature that allows passengers to modify their boarding or drop-off points, travel date, time, bus, or route up to two hours before departure. This empowers travellers with greater flexibility to adapt to last-minute changes without the hassle of cancellations. Smart Switch has already been adopted by thousands of passengers, leading to a 30% reduction in cancellations, as travellers can now conveniently modify their booking instead of missing their bus due to a change in travel plans.

Complementing this, IntrCity has launched a series of short, on-ground videos that guide passengers to popular pickup locations, addressing one of the most common concerns among bus travellers—finding the correct boarding point. Filmed at key locations in cities such as Panjim, Mumbai, Greater Noida, and Delhi, these videos use real landmarks to offer clear directions, reducing uncertainty and ensuring a smoother start to the journey. Since launch, pickup videos have helped cut boarding-related complaints by 85%. In the upcoming festive season, IntrCity plans to expand this initiative to 70 additional high-demand cities across Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, and other states.
