How data-driven container reuse reduced costs and emissions in 2025
Dhruv Taneja, Founder & Global CEO, MatchLog Solutions, explains how smarter use of data is transforming container reuse into a core inland logistics strategy—simultaneously reducing costs, improving reliability, and lowering emissions.

This was important because inland logistics has historically absorbed inefficiency without clear accountability. According to World Bank estimates, inland transport can account for more than half of total door-to-door logistics costs in several emerging economies, with empty or underutilised movement forming a significant portion of that spend. By improving how containers were sequenced and redeployed inland, data-driven reuse began to address a cost centre that had long been treated as unavoidable.
