Mr. Warris informed, “Tata Technologies has successfully collaborated with Hitachi Construction Machinery Japan and Tata Hitachi Construction Machinery Pvt. Ltd. to develop the new Backhoe Loader, christened Tata Hitachi Shinrai. It is for the very first time that any Engineering Services Outsourcing (ESO) company has demonstrated full machine development capabilities in the industrial heavy machinery space by supporting the customer from concept to production.”
Sharing details of the project, he said, “The client wanted to develop a competitive product for the Indian market with full system integration, enhanced aesthetics and functional appeal. The focus was also on improving its productivity, fuel efficiency, cabin space, and resale value. We did in-depth research on the current vehicle’s features, on other competing brands, and on engines, following which, we delivered a product with increased fuel efficiency, reliability and serviceability.”
Mr. Warris added, “We are also keen to explore opportunities in the wheel and backhoe loaders domain, and in earthmoving equipment, among others.”
