Tata Technologies to work on turnkey projects in Off-highway CE business

Regarding the company’s turnkey business, Mr. Harris said, “Our approach on a macro level involves market research and analysis for developing the product, design conceptualization, product and process validation, manufacturing process and engineering, product readiness and launch, and resource planning in line with our objective of cost reduction and quality improvement, to provide total cost of ownership and value to the end-user.”

Sharing details of the project, he said, “The client wanted to develop a competitive product for the Indian market with full system integration, enhanced aesthetics and functional appeal. The focus was also on improving its productivity, fuel efficiency, cabin space, and resale value. We did in-depth research on the current vehicle’s features, on other competing brands, and on engines, following which, we delivered a product with increased fuel efficiency, reliability and serviceability.”
Mr. Warris added, “We are also keen to explore opportunities in the wheel and backhoe loaders domain, and in earthmoving equipment, among others.”
