YEIDA unveils largest logistic & warehousing hubs in Noida

Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) is in the process of setting up the region's largest logistics and warehousing hubs at Tappal Bajna, about 7-km from the upcoming Jewar international airport. A preliminary report has been submitted by the consultant Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu India and it is engaged in preparing the feasibility study and the detailed project report. It has recommended rail connectivity of the hub, which is expected to be stretching across 465 hectares with the Delhi-Palwal route. Monika Rani, additional CEO of YEIDA, informed that once ready, it will be a major point of industrial goods offload. In the initial report, which has been submitted by the consultant, it recommended that the logistics and warehousing hub would be well connected via road and rail. The report suggests connecting this hub with the Delhi-Palwal rail and road, with 16-km of track laid for the purpose. There is a Chola railway station near Tappal but specific proposals for rail connectivity shall be made by the consultant with justified recommendations in the draft DPR, which is yet to be submitted. While it is proposed that 1,794.4 hectares of the total space will be reserved for industries and 1,608.3 hectares for mixed land use purposes.
